How to use your audacity recordings
Using your laptop as your recording device is super easy thanks to Audacity!
Click "record" then talk into your laptop slow, clear, and with drama! (or record whatever that sound is you want to record... ;) )
Save your project by going to File in the top left corner / Save as / then click to wherever it is that you are staying organized on your laptop. (Hopefully a DMP folder) / Name your file.
To get that recording to the class computers so you can start editing it into the rest of your project you will need to export the audio:
File / Export / WAV
Again, click to wherever it is that you are staying organized at and name the file what you are going to recognize.
You will need to send this WAV file to our class computer from your laptop. You can do this 2 different ways:
1. Open your email, address a new email to yourself, then drag and drop this WAV file into your email. Send yourself the email then log in to your email on the class computer and download it from that email. Make sure to drag and drop your downloaded files into your class folder to stay organized!!!
2. Submit the WAV file to the "Back That Up" Assignment on Canvas on your laptop then log in to canvas on the class computer and download it from there by going to the "Back That Up" Assignment then click "submissions" in the top right corner. Download it then make sure to drag and drop your files from the download folder into your class folder to stay organized!
After you drag and drop your WAV file into your class folder you can now drag and drop it into your Garageband or Mixcraft Project. :)
