Making some sick beats, yo!
Objectives:
To create a "sick beat" that is 8 counts long, using the Ableton Push's (Launchpad) top 16 step sequencing pads.
To know how to save and render your project.
To understand how to submit your completed work (an .ALS and a .WAV file) to Canvas
I will show you how to load the drum packs into the launchpad but if you need further instruction please refer to this video as it is a great start to learning how to create your sick beats! (It's also where I first started out! ;) )

Using your choice of drum packs, create an eight beat rhythm using at least 3 layers of instruments.
How to save when finished (or every few changes!):
*File/Save Live Set As
*Title it with your First names, class name, and the word "Beats" (Example: Jill and Kari 1A Beats)
*Make sure the "Where" folder is set to your class document folder.
*Click "Save"
How to convert to a WAV:
*File/Export Audio
*Make sure file type is set to "WAV"
*Click "Export"
*A new window pops up to Name your file
*Title it with your First names, class name, and the word "Beats" (Example: Jill and Kari 1A Beats)
*Make sure the "Where" folder is set to your class document folder.
*Click "Save"
For all of you visual learners, this is a video to explain this but the last part is about Soundcloud WHICH WE DO NOT HAVE SO DO NOT DO THIS!
You will then upload your Ableton File (an .ALS file) AND a WAV file of your version of "Sick Beats"to Canvas by clicking your submit work button.
Evaluation:
5 points: Your project is at least 8 beats long
5 points: Your project has at least 3 different instruments layered.
5 points: You submit a saved .ALS file
5 points: You submit a saved .WAV file
