Convert your Files
On Windows Computers:
IN MIXCRAFT:
For audio only:
Mix down to an MP3 by Going to File/Mix down to/MP3
A new window will open to make it look like you are going to save.
Navigate to your Class Folder.
Name your project with your name and name of your project. (DO NOT LET YOUR FILE NAME HAVE A DOT IN IT, THAT WILL RUIN YOUR FILE EXTENSION!!!)
When it is done converting, windows media player will automatically open and begin playing your project.
For Video Only:
Mix down to a WMV: File/Mix down to/WMV
A new window will open to make it look like you are going to save.
Navigate to your Class Folder.
Name your project with your name and name of your project. (DO NOT LET YOUR FILE NAME HAVE A DOT IN IT, THAT WILL RUIN YOUR FILE EXTENSION!!!)
When it is done converting, windows media player will automatically open and begin playing your project.
PLUS YOU WILL HAVE TO:
ZIP THE FILE
In order for me to be able to see all of your tracks in mixcraft and not have to spend my nights at school grading your projects, you need to copy your project files to a zip file so they are small enough to email me. To do this go to file / copy project files to / zip file / your tsf music folder. Name your file the name of your book. Click "save" then answer yes for all questions.
In Camtasia:
To convert your video:
Go to Share/Local File
select "MP4 with smart player up to 1080p" then click "Next"
Production Name should be the name of your project (example: Jasman Plumbing Commerical)
Folder should be your class folder.
Click "Finish" You will see it rendering then it will open up in an internet window and you can play it.
In Moviemaker:
Go to File/Save Movie/For Computer
Navigate to your TSF DMP folder and name it the name of your project. (Example: Jasman Plumbing Commercial)
On Mac Computers:
In Garageband:
For MP3:
you will have to go to Share/Export Song to Disk/then make sure to choose MP3 and save it with the file name being the name of your book, or project, in your document folder so you know where it is.
For Video:
Go to File/Movie/Export Audio to Movie and save it with the file name being the name of your project, in your document folder so you know where it is.
ALSO
go to File/Save as/and save your book in your document folder with the file name being the name of your book or project, like it's any other day.
Garageband will automatically zip itself when you load it to canvas or your email. Lucky YOU!
In iMovie:
Go to File/ Share/ File
Click Next
Save as: The Name of Your Project (example: Jasman Plumbing Commercial)
Where: Your Document Folder (so you know where it is)
You'll see a circle in the top right of your screen showing you a pie chart of the progress of your video converting.
In Camtasia:
Go to Share/Local File
Name your project with your names and what the project is.
Direct it to save in your class folder
select "MP4 with smart player up to 1080p" then click "Next"
Click "Finish" You will see it rendering then it will open up in an internet window and you can play it.
In Magic:
Make sure you created a Playlist and Audio input is your mp3.
The Playlist (Window/Playlist Window) should have each of your scenes in the order that you want them to appear. (Click "Add Entry") and choose the scenes from the drop down box to do this.
Click the down arrow in the top right corner of the Playlist Window and make sure each option has a check mark in front of them.
Adjust the start time in the far right time window of the playlist window to reflect the time you want the scene to change, using your audio window.
Click the "A" to turn on Auto Advance and check the box for "Playback Control" in the Playlist Window.

To export the final video:
Go to File/Export Movie
Click on the top box where it says "(select an output file name)"
Title your project your first names and VDJ (for example: Jill and Brenda VDJ)
Make sure you're saving to your document folder then click "save"
Check the box for "Use Playlist" in the bottom right.
Click "GO!"
You will need to submit your zipped music file (Garageband or zipped MIxcraft file), Your Magic File, and your converted video from Magic.
On Windows AND Mac Computers:
Ableton:
Save your WAV file:
File/Export Audio
Make sure file type is set to WAV
Click Export at the bottom of this screen.
Name your file and make sure the "where" is set to your (document) folder.
Click 'save'
