How to import a sound into your audio editing program
Under the "Music Downloads link on the Links link you will find many different sites that you can download additional mp3 sounds and use them in your mixcraft project.
I have created accounts at a couple of the other sites on the links list that are not blocked and are open sources for your to use freely. My favorite is freesound.org where I have set up an account. Login is emsmusictech and password is student. When you are logged in, search for the sounds you are looking for/click on the sound/click on the download button/then KNOW WHERE YOU ARE SAVING! If on a Windows Computer: Save the mp3 into your tsf/music folder. In the Mixcraft program there are a couple different ways you can add an mp3 sound to your project. 1. Double click in the empty loop area of a track where you want the imported sound to begin. 2. Choose 'sound' at the top of the screen then "Add Sound File" Navigate to your TSF/Music folder (or wherever you saved the sound), double click on your mp3 sound and it will automatically change the name of your track and show up just like all the other library loops to be played with in the Mixcraft Program!!! If on a Mac: Your sound most likely went to your downloads folder. You may want to drag it from there into your documents folder (which is the "Finder" app at the bottom in your taskbar) because some computers could be set to delete items from the downloads folder after so many days... The easiest way to get the sound into your garageband project is to open up garageband/open up document folder/click and drag the sound into your project. |
